Gram Vikas Trust believe in providing dignity for girls and women through equality and access to period products. These are essential tools to keep girls and women in school, at work and participating in society when they cannot otherwise obtain period products on their own. Gram Vikas Trust, Bharuch has initiated project "Menstrual Hygiene Management - Sanitary pads production (For the women by the women project) to provide menstrual products to be available at their door step in rural area. A number of adolescent girls and women provided feedback on having menstrual products available to them at door step in rural area.

What the beneficiary gets
Program Description
The objective of the program is to set up low cost sanitary napkin production unit which will be managed by the rural tribal women from the target villages for ensuring adequate supply of sanitary napkins at affordable price and earn a living. Through sanitary napkin program GVT will reach more than 14400 women and adolescent girls in Tribal regions of Bharuch district. Awareness about menstrual hygiene will empower girls and women to take control over their health, livelihood and
enables girls to pursue higher education beyond the onset of menstruation.
Through this program group of women will get training and employment in manufacturing, distribution and selling of high quality, low cost sanitary napkin in their communities. This will help the women empowerment at rural level.
