Every monthly donation helps educate more girls like Sandya
Sandya is a first-year B.Sc. student at Bangalore-based Jayadeva hospital. She travels all the way from Hoskote which is a two-hour ride away from her college. Her father is a factory worker, while her mother is a homemaker.
With a total family income of INR 10,000, Sandya struggled to pay her college fees of INR 22,000. It was only after she received a scholarship that covered all her fees, did Sandya continue pursuing her graduate studies and now plans to pursue her postgraduate studies in the same field.
What's even more heartwarming is the fact that she is the first from her family to opt for a graduate course.
