Provide residential care for person with mental disability

Give a child with special abilities an opportunity to live a better life

Monu was a 3-year-old when he was brought to Madhya Pradesh Viklang Sahayta Samiti as an orphan. He was suffering from multiple disabilities, including mental retardation, diplegic locomotor, visual impairment and lack of speech. He had difficulty sitting without support and was also suffering from a skin disease.

He was immediately given medical intervention to cure his skin disease and improve his general health. His physiotherapy and occupational therapy were started to improve his locomotor condition. Special training was also undertaken to improve his skills in self-care, social behavior, communication, and cognitive areas. While his health improved, he slowly became better at doing things on his own. His speech and communication also improved with time and he started communicating well and picking up instructions effortlessly. He now recognizes his surroundings and the people around him. He continues to learn and improve his living skills. Despite suffering from multiple disabilities, he now actively takes part in sports and cultural activities and has also won several prizes. Your donation can help a child with special abilities to overcome his obstacles and build a better life for himself. **You can donate with confidence because every program on our platform is GIVEASSURED.

Madhya Pradesh Viklang Sahayta Samiti

Madhya Pradesh Viklang Sahayta Samiti was started by Fr. Thomas C.T with the help and support of Diocese of Ujjain as social responsibility of the emerging need of the time.

He was committed to do meaningful work to minimize problems of neglected sections of society. The assessment of the situation revealed that though there were many different sets of people who were neglected, the differently abled persons were the most neglected section. Even among these, children with mental and physical disabilities were among the most neglected. Hence, the organization was started to help them.

The present head of the organisation, Fr. Tom George is a special educator and social worker. He was assistant director for 8 years before taking over the leadership in July 2013.
