SPOTLIGHT : Giving Matters at HDFC Bank

India Giving ChallengeLast month, we interacted with Nusrat Pathan, Head – Corporate Social Responsibility,  at HDFC Bank, one of India's premiere retail banks and one of GiveIndia's strongest Payroll Giving partners.
Nusrat chartered the CSR division in the organization five years ago and has been leading the CSR wing ever since, through her two member team.

Announcement : India Giving Challenge 2012 is here!

India Giving Challenge INDIA GIVING CHALLENGE is GiveIndia's annual flagship Joy of Giving initiative which aims to engage all for profit and non profit organizations in India to raise funds online and get rewards in turn.
Since the last three years, funds worth Rs.5.9 croreshave been raised through massive participation from corporates and NGOs, media coverage and a slew of employee engagement activities within all participating corporates. We announce the fourth edition of this challenge from the Sept 4th - Oct 18th and eagerly await your participation.

Here's why you should participate:
1. Maximise employee engagement through a unified and community spirit of Giving
2. Get a chance to win in categories such as
   - Maximum amount of funds raised
   - Maximum number of donors
   - Best Marketing Campaign
   - Best Innovative Campaign
   - Star Fund raising team & volunteers
3. Engage existing Payroll Giving employees in making donations out of their accumulated Giving account balances while also encouraging non Payroll Giving employees make one-time donations (all donations transacted over the iGive pages get the 80G tax benefit)
4. Empower your chosen NGOs avail matching prizes from GiveIndia. We have daily, weekly and overall matching prizes to give away !

Here's how you can participate:
1. Nominate your NGOs by the 15th Aug so that we can get them listed (at no charge)
2. Create fundraising pages (called as iGive pages) from your NGOs from 1st Sep'12
3. Start fund raising from the 4th Sep. over live iGive pages

Starting Sep 4th, we will send across a daily progress report, your relative ranking and also help you facilitate activities through which you can engage your employees with the cause(s)/NGO(s) you're supporting !
