Giving Culture at THERMAX

http://giveindia.org/images/m-n-sanyal.jpg“Being a socially responsible company, Thermax has been contributing its resources for various social causes. Thermax as a part of its corporate social responsibility, focuses on improving the quality of education. Along with our focus on education, we also encourage our employees and their family member to participate towards various social causes and try to provide them the opportunity and platform through which they can participate or contribute.

We believe that the culture of giving comes from within. Every human being irrespective of their financial position has this innate culture of giving within them. The only challenge is to provide a suitable platform to help it foster. Given the kind of work environment most of us are in, sometimes even though there is a desire to participate or contribute toward social causes, we tend to get pre-occupied by other work related priorities.

GiveIndia provides an excellent alternative to fulfil this desire of giving through its payroll giving programme. Thermax has been partnering with GiveIndia since 2008. I remember, when we launched the programme, I along with Give India representative visited various locations across Thermax to explain employees about the payroll giving programme. The response from employees was excellent and the conversion rate was on an average 85% which was a milestone in itself. Over these years more than 1800 employees have registered themselves for the Payroll Giving programme and have contributed over Rs. 81 Lakh for the causes of their choice. Thanks to GiveIndia for promoting the culture of giving.”
