Monthly Giving Program for US/ UK donors
Just as Indian donors can donate every month ( i.e. Standing Instructions), donors from the US and UK will soon be able to do so too. US/UK donors will be able to set up a monthly donation to the Corpus/General Fund of an NGO of their choice on GiveIndia. All one needs to do is visit the organization's US/UK page on GiveIndia and click on the 'Donate Monthly' button.
As this program is launched, we advise all tier 1 NGOs (with FCRA) to reach out to their donors in the US and UK and inform them of this new facility. Donors simply need to click on the link and register on the payment gateways once to donate every month (to your Corpus/General Fund). GiveIndia would process the monthly donations and disburse the same to you monthly.
For Example: Dream a Dream's donors need to go to: http://www.giveindia.org/m-5-dream-a-dream.aspx
Access your NGO's US/UK page through our US/UK website: http://www.giveindia.org/m-5-dream-a-dream.aspx?tps=US or http://www.giveindia.org/m-5-dream-a-dream.aspx?tps=UK
Please note that we would be sending links, similar to the above ones, to all the Tier I NGOs (with FCRA). You could then forward the links to your US/UK donor base. For any queries or details, write to firstname.lastname@example.org. Do ensure that your General or Corpus Fund is active on the GiveIndia website. In case you want to activate, write to email@example.com.
Raise funds for your NGO during any sporting event through iGive!
Over the past few years sporting events like marathons have taken the spirit of sports to new heights. Internationally, such sporting events have always been a phenomenon bringing together thousands of participants all across the world. But the most amazing factor is the emergence of these events as a platform to raise funds for charities.
Participation of thousands of athletes and publicity from media across the different sections make sporting events like the marathon a great opportunity to garner support and spread the word about your cause. As a GiveIndia Tier I listed NGO or Tier II NGO, you or your donors can raise funds for you by making the most of any such sporting event; without undergoing any further registration. Do also remember that as of October 1st, 2011, GiveIndia retains only 6.5% of all donations made through iGive pages.
