GiveIndia is proud to be the coordinator of the Joy of Giving Week, a National movement to be held from September 27 through October 2, 2009. It aims to engage more than 1 crore Indians in different "acts of giving"- money, time, resources and skills spanning the corporate, NGO and government sectors, educational institutions and also the general public. The idea is to create a "Festival of Philanthropy" that can, over the years, become a part of the Indian ethos. NGOs can participate in the Joy of Giving Week workshops in major metros over the next two months. Bangalore workshop held on June 27, 2009 attracted 114 participants who were impressed by the presentation from our Director, Venkat Krishnan. Feedback Verification and Updates

GiveIndia has started a feedback verification process, whereby our volunteers visit beneficiaries of our listed NGOs. Till date we have completed 41 verification visits with a near 100% success in terms of verifiability. The volunteers are moved by their experience and we would like to thank you for making these visits an engaging experience. We plan to do at least 10 verifications every month this year and look forward to your cooperation.

Ms Sanjyot Kamath takes over from Smita to help with the regular feedbacks processing. The email id continues to be the same Ms Smita will be working on the verifications visits to NGOs and helping to improve feedback quality.

Feedback quality
Donors have been rating the feedbacks that are being sent to them. While we have shared the overall responses, we will soon be sharing inputs specific to the feedbacks sent based on donor responses to the same. We would encourage you to pay attention to things like grammar, formatting, good quality photographs when you send us the feedbacks. Specific suggestions and guidelines will follow in the coming few weeks.
