A beneficiary of SERUDS supported by GiveIndia donors receives an award as a recognition for her talent and hard work
Harika is a 12 year old bright girl studying Grade IX in Ramakrishna Vidhyalayam School, Kurnool. Our partner NGO, SERUDS has been sponsoring her education since 2011 through donations from the donors of GiveIndia. Recently she has won, "Inspire Award" from The Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India. 

The services of SERUDS was revered as "Hope of Light" by  Andhra Jyoti daily for the whole hearted support they impart to orphans  at their Joy Home orphanage.


St. Jude India ChildCare Centres in Noida
Two new centres (Eagle Peak Centre and Bilan-Cooper Centre) housing 11 units each will be opened in Delhi on July 25th, 2013. Another centre is slated to open in Kolkata next month.

Bhavisha Sanadhya, GM Dev, St. Jude India ChildCare Centres was the only Indian to be nominated for the International Leadership Program on "Volunteerism in the US Civic Leadership in Action" sponsored by the Dept. of State.

The fifth edition of India Giving Challenge  (3rd Sep - 17th Oct 2013)

INDIA GIVING CHALLENGE is GiveIndia's annual flagship fundraising event coinciding with the Joy of Giving Week initiative. It aims to engage all for profit and non-profit organizations in India to raise funds online, create maximum impact and get rewarded in turn. Over the last four years, more than Rs. 10 crores have been raised through massive participation from corporates and NGOs, media coverage and a slew of employee engagement activities within all participating corporations.

India is the epicenter for Impact investing
Under lmpact Investing, money is delivered for social benefits alongside financial returns. India has the accessibility to consumers at the bottom of the pyramid (BoP), which has triggered the need for socially impactful market-driven solutions to development issues. Large international firms like Omidiyar Network, Acumen and Rockefeller Foundation are looking to invest millions of dollars in the next five years to for-profit and non-profit organisations across India that are scalable, sustainable and have the potential to create large-scale opportunities. According to a research by the Rockefeller Foundation, impact investing generated around $100 million (roughly Rs 530 crore) of capital in India in 2012 and is said to be growing at 30% per annum. Mid-day meal (MDM) does make a difference in the lives of children coming from poor families

How to  improve the program quality and make MDM  work?
The mid-day meal program has played a significant role in increasing school attendance rates in states where many children come from underprivileged households.
