Double Celebrations for RHCF
Mr.Arun Nevatia, managing trustee of Rural Health Care Foundation (RHCF) was awarded Karmaveer Puraskaar 2012 under Health category for his outstanding contribution to the society.

Rural Health Care Foundation has been awarded Rs. 4,00,000 after being selected in the first round of Mahindra Spark the Rise award program.

T-20 world cup
Samarthanam image

Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled organized T – 20 World Cup Cricket for the Visually Challenged from 1st to 13th December 2012 in Bangalore. Australia, Bangladesh, England, Pakistan, South Africa, West Indies, Sri Lanka, Nepal took part. The hosts India retained the trophy in a thrilling match, defeating arch rivals Pakistan that was telecast live on national television.  

College for the rural poor

Aapna Janakalyan has started Maa Sarada PU College in Sindhanur, Raichur district. This college will provide quality education for deprived children of rural India mainly, for students interested in arts and commerce disciplines.

We are happy to let you know that the India Giving Challenge (IGC)- our in-house Joy of Giving Week event that had raised over Rs. 1 crore in 2012 has won the IAMAI Award (Internet and Mobile Association of India), Indian's premier internet association for the "Best use of Internet in Social & Economic Development" category.

IGC had also won the SAFRG (South Asian Fundraising Group) "Fundraising Campaign of the Year targeted at Corporate Partners" in October last year.

The Akshaya Patra Foundation ranked among the top 100 NGOs by The Global Journal
Akshaya Patra Foundation (TAPF) has been named one of the Top 100 NGOs in the world by The Global Journal among a pool of approximately 450 NGOs this year based on three key criteria: impact, innovation and sustainability.  They are Numero Uno when it comes to Children. Akshaya Patra Foundation also received Gold Shield for excellence in Financial reporting from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India ( ICAI ), for a fourth time in row.

Times of India Social Impact Awards  2013

GiveIndia has partnered with Times of India for the Social Impact Awards as process partner. These awards are being given to change makers within NGOs, corporates and the government who have quietly worked to transform the lives of millions of marginalized Indians in five categories - livelihoods, advocacy and empowerment, education, health and the environment. A specialist group consisting of philanthropy specialists from Dasra, GiveIndia and GuideStar India screened the entries and 20 sector-experts then evaluated these entries to prepare a final shortlist of 41 entries. TOI reporters conducted field visits of each entry. The lifetime contribution award was shared by Naga Mothers' Association and Meira Paibi of Manipur. The award for international contribution to India was given to Pratham USA.

CII Women Exemplar Awards 2013
