The 4th edition of IGC 2012 begins!

We hope you have set up your iGive pages for one of the largest fund raising competitions in the country - India Giving Challenge. The fourth edition of this popular online fundraising event started this week. The website is now live, the overall prizes have been decided, new comers have started registering with us to take part in all the ‘fun’draising and organizations have also started setting up their iGive pages for the event. So, incase you haven’t gotten started, please do so.

For Organisations wishing to get registered for the event:
Please get started by following the steps enumerated on: NGOs who have registered for IGC 2011 or any other event in the past only need to send across their latest financials, the undertaking and the iGive reimbursement report.

Just a reminder, this year, we are giving away a total of Rs. 80 lacs to organizations in different categories of fundraising ( also known as matching grants). The overall prize details are available. The rest will be announced as the event begins. There may be prizes for early birds, so do get started really soon! Looking forward to working with all of you towards making the India Giving Challenge 2012 as exciting and rewarding an experience as possible!

Pay a lot of attention to get the landing page right.
1. Do just one big thing on the page
2. Encourage people to act 'now' by providing a deadline
3. Use the word 'you'
4. Reduce the text
5. Use symbols of trust
6. Make your call to action button bigger, use a contrasting color, and increase your font size
7. Remove sidebars and top navigation
