Vidya &
Child in collaboration with Dreaming Child Productions conducted
a Creative Extravaganza on 9th April at Mehrauli. More than 30
artists from various creative fields like photography, film editing,
theatre acting and direction, creative writing and book making,
animation and architecture, painting, arts and graphics, pottery,
clay and paper modeling, music and sound engineering conducted 24
workshops. More than 200 + children of Vidya & Child had a gala
time.

On April 2nd, 2011, AmeriCares India Foundation hosted the second
edition of the ‘Spirit of Humanity Awards’ in Mumbai, recognizing
individuals & organizations working for the health of the
underprivileged and disadvantaged sections of the country. Four of
our partner NGOs, MAHAN, Dr Shroff's Charity Eye Hospital, Operation
ASHA (in picture above), The Banyan are winners in various
categories.

Economic Rural Development Society (ERDS) has successfully
completed the accreditation process of Credibility Alliance.
LetzDream Foundation is a grant
making organization that supports exceptional nonprofits in the
country in the field of Education, Health, Livelihood, Human Rights,
Microfinance, Watershed etc. LetzDream Foundation is ready to launch
LetzChange, the online giving portal. You will be able to create a
profile of your organisation on this portal and use this platform to
reach out to a larger audience. LetzDream Foundation is producing
high quality videos for first 100 selected organizations, free of
cost, to enable them to engage with the global donors on the

The TANKER Foundation observed the 6th World Kidney Day on 10th
March, 2011 where over 500 students participated in WKD Walkathon.
Caps, posters and leaflets to create more awareness of kidney
disease were distributed. The focus this year was on PROTECT YOUR
KIDNEYS – SAVE YOUR HEART. |
GiveIndia's full pack of cards (Yes. We are 52 now!) at the
2-day annual review in the second week of April at an offsite. The
teams presented the plans for the future and shared details about
the year that went by.

The India Tax Saving Challenge 2011 |
We're happy to share with you that over Rs. 53 lacs was raised
from 1,000+ donors in ITSC 2011. A big thank you to all of you who
participated.
The top 3 NGOs to raise the most amount of funds were -
Parivaar Education Society, Catalysts For Social Action, Psycho
Educational Society.
The winning NGOs in the number of donors category were Operation
ASHA, JK MAASS Foundation and Teach For India respectively.
Overall, matching grants of Rs. 35 lacs were won by participating
organisations.
