Do remember that only donations made online through your India Giving Challenge iGive page(s) will be considered as part of the challenge. So here’s what you can do to convert your offline donations to online ones –
- Request your donors to make their cheques out favoring: GiveIndia ; and send it across to you.
- Also request them for the following details:
- Name
- Their tax receipt generation preference: Indian/NRI/Other
- Address/City/State/Pin/Country
- Then, using this excel sheet, calculate the amount you need to make the online donation for (i.e. the amount you need to fill in on your iGive page).
NOTE: The amount that you enter on the iGive page should not include GiveIndia’s donation of 6.5% (as that gets included en route) while the amount on the cheque does include this donation. - Proceed to make the donation on the GiveIndia site on their behalf using the details that they provide you in step 2 above.
- Write the transaction ID that you generate after completion of step 4 above on the reverse of their cheque and send the same across to the GiveIndia office.

- Request your donors to make their cheques out to GiveIndia. Then follow the steps enumerated in the section Converting Offline Donations to Online Donations above.
- Organize a computer with internet access at the event itself, so that donors themselves can complete their donations online (i.e. through credit card/net banking)
