  1. All pages set up for an NGO (i.e. by the NGO themselves, by individual supporters, by corporates and any others) will be taken into consideration when determining the daily and weekly prizes. For the overall prizes, in the corporate category, only pages identified as corporate pages will be taken into consideration ( please see point number 2 above).
  2. To win daily/weekly prizes, it is advisable to make online donations. Cheques get credited at the bank's discretion. GiveIndia typically deposits cheques within 1-2 days of receipt of the same.
  3. Outstation cheques take a long time to clear and are often dependent on the issuing bank. Since expediting clearance of such cheques is not in GiveIndia’s control, donors are requested to issue cheques which are local clearing for Mumbai.
  4. Sometimes, online transactions also take 2-3 days to get credited. This usually happens when money has been deducted from the donors account by the online payment gateway but the same has not been deposited into GiveIndia's account; and only gets credited when we receive the same from the payment gateway. Such circumstances are out of GiveIndia's control and we request you, especially at times like these, to keep the spirit of the challenge alive.
  5. Please note that multiple transactions from the same credit card may lead to your credit card being blocked and/or GiveIndia's account being blocked too. In such a case, NGO(s) will be disqualified from the challenge and GiveIndia reserves the right to recover any financial loss from the concerned individual/ organisation.
  6. Number of unique donors will be counted per NGO / corporate.
  7. No feedback report to donors will be provided for any donation made as part of the India Giving Challenge 2011 as is the practice for all iGive pages.
  8. GiveIndia will provide participating individuals, corporates and NGOs with the following support:
    • Promotional material (sample posters, appeal letters, widgets, badges, etc) to create excitement and participation
    • Workshop for your core team on different online fundraising ideas
    • Preparing a daily dashboard showing the top corporates / NGOs
    • Issuing receipts and 80G certificates for every donation
    • Disbursing funds, including matching contributions to the respective charities
    • Recognising every single contribution on our website.

  9. GiveIndia reserves the right to alter any of the above rules at its discretion and take any means necessary to ensure a fair contest. In case of any dispute, GiveIndia will have the final say.
