For your birthday: It's your birthday, but you're not interested in the usual gifts. Instead, set up an iGive page and tell friends and family to donate there to make your birthday special.

Or instead of getting more dolls, games, and toys for your children who already have everything, use iGive to teach them that the joy of giving can be as good as the pleasure of receiving.


If you're getting married: The big day is around the corner and everything is planned down to the last detail. The only thing you can't possibly plan for is what gifts you'll receive - from tea sets, to crystal vases, to silver coins - your new home will be flooded with things you may not like or need.

How about making the start of your life together, a chance for someone in need to have a chance at a better life. Set up an iGive page to accept gifts on your behalf and rest assured, your marriage will be blessed.


For a marathon: Are you taking part in a marathon or fun run? Why don't you use this opportunity to raise funds for a good cause at the same time? All over the world, fundraisers use marathons as a great way to raise money and awareness for a cause. In the 2008 Mumbai Marathon, more than Rs.50 lac was raised for charity through iGive!


If you're a NGO: Several NGOs have used iGive pages with great success. NGOs can ask regular donors and supporters to set up a page. NGOs can use the occasion of their birthday or founding day to set up their own page. Suppose your NGO urgently needs to buy something like a computer or other equipment, iGive is a perfect way to alert your donors and have them come together and chip in to help you.
