Individual Giving Circle
is a group of not less than 10 or more individuals, each of whom pledges a donation to his/her respective circle so that a pool of funds (of Rs2-10lacs), is created.

  • The circle is initiated and led by a circle champion.

  • The funds raised by the circle go towards supporting one or more projects of the NGOs participating in GiveIndias event.

  • The circle determines which project it will support by way of voting, i.e., once the funds have been collected by the circle owner, the circle will discuss and vote to decide which one (or two) out of the several projects they want to support with the pooled money.

  • Each circle member is entitled to vote.

Whats Special about Giving Circles?

  • Forming or (joining) a Giving Circle provides you with a hands-on opportunity to collaborate with others who share a desire to make focused community investments with impact. Collective know how and decision-making of a group adds value and impact to volunteerism and charitable investments.

  • Each member is keenly involved in a process of evaluating the objectives and impact of specific reform efforts for issues ranging from child and youth welfare to womens issues, rural-urban divide, education, healthcare and the physically and mentally disabled. The voting process compels members to engage in valuable and lively debate and voice their own concerns and perspectives.

  • Participating in a Giving Circle can be fulfilling and fun.
