Make a difference

Our partner AkbarTravelsOnline is running a Facebook campaign currently, in which they will contribute Rupee 1 for every "Like" they get on their Facebook page. Already, ,many well wishers have clicked "Like" on the Facebook page. Your "Like" will unlock a contribution through GiveIndia to acquiring classroom equipment for residential school for tribal girl children.

Poverty, child labour, migration, inaccessibility of schools has kept 76,000 children between 6-14 age out of school. The Residential School provides a valuable opportunity of education for tribal girls. Tribals have been exploited for generations due to illiteracy. Present generation of tribals is the first generation going to school. This opportunity of education will indirectly help socioeconomic empowerment of tribals especially Katkari girls who are the most deprived.
