Need your help in increasing our level of NGO scrutinity: Volunteer to help with a Verification Visit

Feedback Verification Visits In our May edition we had informed you about an additional level of scrutiny to our NGO verification procedures - feedback verfication visits. We are happy to inform you that till date we have completed verification visits for 75+ of the 200 odd NGOs available on our website.

A feedback verification visit is a random physical visit to a beneficiary to determine that s/he has indeed received the benefits outlined in the feedback report, from the NGO. We aim to verify every single NGO that has received funds through us by checking upon a randomly picked donation - to keep the process completely transparent.

GiveIndia needs volunteers to help with verification visits. It's a great way to see grassroutes work firsthand as you help increase the assurance offered to other donors. We encourage you to volunteer for the same. Please get in touch with us at info@giveindia.org

Announcing winners of 'We really want to HEAR from you' testimonial contest

Testimonials from Payroll GiversIn November we had held a testimonial contest for our Payroll Givers (i.e corporate employees who donate every month towards charity through our Payroll Giving Programme) wherein we invited them to share their experience of giving with us.

Shrikant D, an employee of Vodafone and one of the 3 winners wrote “It gives me immense pleasure in donating through GiveIndia payroll option. GiveIndia is a path for me to support the people who are in need of us. I thank the entire GiveIndia team who makes us reach to the people who are in real need.

We would also like to congratulate the other two other winners S. Gayathri, Cognizant Technology Solutions and Arijit Sen, Kotak Mahindra Bank who too voiced the same opinion of GiveIndia being a support in their path of helping the underprivileged.

You too can share your experience of giving with us by writing to us at info@giveindia.org and get featured on our website!

Mumbai Marathon

Over the past few years sporting events like marathons have taken the spirit of sports to new heights. Internationally, such sporting events have always been a phenomenon bringing together thousands of participants all across the world. But the most amazing factor is the emergence of these events as a platform to raise funds for charities.

Participation of thousands of athletes and publicity from media across the different sections make sporting events like the marathon a great opportunity to garner support and spread the word about your cause. As a GiveIndia Tier I listed NGO or Tier II NGO, you or your donors can raise funds for you by making the most of any such sporting event; without undergoing any further registration. Do also remember that as of October 1st, 2011, GiveIndia retains only 6.5% of all donations made through iGive pages.
