The India Giving Challenge

India Giving Challenge LogoAs part of the Joy of Giving Week, GiveIndia has decided to hold an online fundraising competition called the India Giving Challenge, where NGOs can reach out to their supporters and try and raise the maximum funds.

GiveIndia is giving the winning NGOs Rs. 50 lakh in matching funds as prizes. So far 8 corporates and 40+ NGOs are confirmed and have decided to participate.

Joy of Giving Week planning is in high gear

Joy of Giving Week logoThe beginning of the Joy of Giving Week is just about a month away and the special team from GiveIndia is busy spreading the word all over India, getting schools, colleges, corporates, NGOs and individuals involved in this movement. So what’s the latest?

  • Talented singer Shankar Mahadevan is recording a giving themed song for the event.
  • Media providing great support. Thank you Times of India, DNA, CNN IBN, Jaya TV, Indian Express, E TV, NDTV and many more.
  • Sachin Tendulkar, Nandita Das, Nagesh Kukunoor, Mini Mathus, Imtiaz Ali and other celebrities are helping take the event forward.
