This project will provide comprehensive rehabilitation to 100 people with spinal cord injury. It also help in their inclusion in mainstream social & economic activities. These people are from lower socio-economic class and not in a position to meet the expenses of the rehabilitation process.
Consequent to severe impacts on spinal cord through accidents a person loses mobility & physical sensations/controls. This leads to either paraplegia i.e. loss of sensations/controls waist downward or quadriplegia which affects entire body below the neck. Most of these people are from the lower socio-economic class. Such inflictions, apart from creating a severe disability, shatter the individual & family psychologically & economically. The individual becomes a helpless & hopeless burden.
