Ujwal Parivar - Family Strengthening Program - Latur & Bhuj, Gujarat & Maharashtra

The project will support 600 children and 200 families in Latur, Maharashtara and Bhuj, Gujarat to train these families to look after themselves, educate their children, and maintain basic health and hygiene so that these children and youth become self supporting and contributing members of the society.

Poverty, disease, violence, natural disasters and armed conflicts mean every day there are more children who have lost or who are at risk of losing, the care of their biological family. There is a great need to address these issues for better care and protection of children.Through Family Strengthening Program, the NGO works with the families of origin, where the child who is at risk of losing parental care, can stay with the adopted family which can learn to protect and care for him/her.
