This project will provide early intervention services to 40 children with hearing impairment from below poverty level and low income group families at Secunderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India.
According to WHO estimates, Hearing impairment is the number one disability in the world. For every thousand children born, two or three children are born deaf. Early identification of hearing impairment followed by early intervention is essential for children with hearing impairment. Early intervention will help children to develop normal speech and language and be integrated into regular schools. Early intervention prevents deaf children from being mute and handicapped.
