Success Story

Sachin Ram Shinde, a fatherless boy, was a good student in the ninth grade while in the Dongri remand home. Sachin Ram Shinde, a fatherless boy, was a good student in the ninth grade while in the Dongri remand home. On being discharged from the remand home, he returned home to his slum. Traumatized and stigmatized by his stint in the remand home, he was scarred and scared to pursue education in the local municipal school, fearing the scorn and taunts of his peers and society.

Sahaaras tracker obtained Sachins details from remand home authorities and doggedly traced his residence in the slums of Mumbai. Visiting his family, he counseled Sachin, his mother and his brother about the value of education. He encouraged Sachin Ram Shinde to brave the taunts of his peers. Further the tracker also accompanied Sachin to the school authorities and procured admission for him.

Sachin Ram Shinde is now in the tenth standard preparing to appear for his examinations. He has successfully stood up for himself against societal stigma and inner feelings of defeat. He now looks forward to a bright future fuelled by self confidence and hard work.
