Child Aid Foundation (C.A.F.) is an Andhra Pradesh - based organization rendering services to underprivileged children since 1993. C.A.F. has been running several residential and non-residential aid and care projects for children in vulnerable situations. Under the “Ashraya Home Project”, the organization provides full-time residential facilities (hostels with a maximum capacity of 50) to children of various age groups and academic levels. These children are from extremely vulnerable and socially - economically backward circumstances. If they do not receive aid, there is a high possibility of them entering child labour, juvenile delinquency or even flesh trade. At the hostel, these children receive comprehensive aid and care which includes nutritious food, clothing, shelter, medical care, education, vocational training, counseling, and job placement. This project is currently supported only by some compassionate and generous individuals in India. You too can help mold orphans, slum and street-dwelling children and child laborers into well-educated, self-reliant young adults and thus, beneficial members of society. The Basics of Life for a Child
Linga Swami lost his father when he was still very young. His mother being uneducated and unskilled could do nothing more than unskilled, daily labor works whenever and wherever she could find jobs. Even just feeding herself and her family, including Linga Swami, became almost impossible.
Linga Swami was admitted into Child Aid Foundation residential Ashraya Home Project. Therein, he receives complete aid and care, including three nutritious meals every day.
Not having to worry about where his next meal is coming from enables Linga Swami to pursue and concentrate on his studies. He is presently in Grade * and the first ranker in his class! The Child s Daily Food Sponsorship enables Child Aid Foundation to continue to provide him daily food, and also to increase the number of children receiving such food aid.
