Sonamukhi Kumari is a 12-year-old girl of Aroura village in Bihar. Sonamukhi Kumari is a 12-year-old girl of Aroura village in Bihar. Like any other child she goes to school. Like any other child she likes to play with other children around. She has her dreams and aspirations. Sonamukhi has vision but she cannot see.

She has been enrolled under the Integrated Education Programme of NAB where she goes to the regular school along with sighted children. Sonamukhi recently received a Braille Kit which forms an essential part of her education. Sonamukhis education has been partly supported by Sudha Kunkalienkar through GIVE Online.

Sonamukhis life may not have changed tremendously. Sonamukhi will still face the problems blind children face. But Sonamukhi has chosen to live with hope because NAB is there to keep that hope alive for her and for many others like her.
