Overview

From the very beginning, the members of SAPNA believe that development has to be holistic to break the vicious cycle of poverty to bring the real fruits to the needy. They wish to bring about visible change on the ground by focusing their energies in these sectors as well as building their understanding about related issues. The members of SAPNA firmly believe that a conducive and productive environment cannot be achieved unless all parameters of the development equation are adequately addressed.

How It Works

• A number of sick and destitute patients who are survivors of serious trauma/illness at Trauma Centre (AIIMS) and Safdarjung Hospital Dharamshala, New Delhi have no place to return to and are in dire need of recuperative care and support.
• Most of them are unknown having lost their memory or abandoned by their family or are destitute having no one to care or support.
• Some are unknown and are in a comatose vegetative state.
• There are not many rehab centres in Delhi where they can seek shelter and long-term care.
• SAPNA provides a Home in Alwar (Rajasthan) for long term care for these patients.
• The residents are provided all support free of cost.
• A team of social workers looks after their daily needs, nourishment, housekeeping, clothing, etc.
• A public health care centre in the premises provides requisite medical and nursing care.
• Mange Ram, Sindhu, Pinky, Ram, Arjun, Balwant, Puran, Ranveer, Santosh and Krishna are some of the lucky ones who are all unknown and have found a home at Vijay Mandir.
• They are now a part of the extended family of SAPNA.
