Raju Baburao Shinde is a poor and handicapped person living in Bhau Patil Padal Vasti, Pune(Maharashtra). Raju Baburao Shinde is a poor and handicapped person living in Bhau Patil Padal Vasti, Pune(Maharashtra). A healthy baby, at the age of 10 months he was admitted to a hospital for fever and in the course of treatment he was affected by polio and both his legs below the hip became of no use and he became handicapped. However, he has managed to pass S.S.C.

We went to Raju?s house and studied his family and his living condition. Raju is living with his old parents who do not have any source of income and wholly depend on this poor handicapped person. As he could not walk we provided him crutches/straples/walking sticks and tricycle so that he can move around on his own efforts and carry out his daily chores independently.

Now Raju is in a position to carry out any sedentary jobs not depending on anybody and even help his old parents both financially and physically. He is absorbed in KIBBTUS since 1999 and he is earning meager income. The tricycle helps him to carry out his day to day job in a speedy manner without much stress on his physically body.
