Blind Welfare Council - Dahod has a special school where children are given training for activities of daily living and primary education. They are also provided round-the-year sports training. Blind Welfare Council - Dahod has trained teachers who hold a degree or diploma in special education. The beneficiaries were identified during the basic, main survey and more students are found during vacations. Their special teachers who have either a diploma or degree in the field of mental retardation impart the training. They train them for activities of daily living and impart pre/primary education. They are also trained for various extra-curricular activities like sports, recreation and leisure time. Blind Welfare Council - Dahod tries their level best to make them independent. This training cannot be fixed - it depends on different children and their levels. About 70 children have been taking training for the past four years.
