A large number of poor patients from far-flung areas especially from Bihar & UP come to the Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi for treatment of chronic ailments A large number of poor patients from far-flung areas especially from Bihar & UP come to the Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi for treatment of chronic ailments. Many patients find it extremely difficult to afford the prolonged treatment, quickly running out of finances. With no local support they are compelled to go back home without completing the treatment or resort to unethical practices.

SAPNA extends support to poor patients staying at Safdarjung Hospital Dharamshala by providing medicines, milk, food, fruits, rations, blankets, clothing, etc. SAPNA helps in getting diagnostic tests done and even bears the cost of operations in needy cases. Supportive aids like crutches, wheelchairs, collars, etc. are given to the needy. SAPNA also helps in procuring healthy donors of blood.

Every month SAPNA provides care and support to around 60 to 65 poor patients staying at the Safdarjung Hospital Dharamshala. It helps sustain the long treatment which otherwise they cannot afford. It also provides informational support to patients who are unable to access the available services.They happily return to their native places only after completion of treatment.
