Success Story

When Samveda started its intervention with Sangeetha, it was found that she had an aversion for reading. It could be understood that she was unable to sight-read words and that she had severe phonological lapses that hindered her reading. So, she never wanted to read either at school or at home.

Samveda designed special lessons such that she could break the word into syllables, and colour coded the individual words. The procedure was taught to her separately, making her take interest in reading.

Sangeetha has taken great interest in reading and is progressing impressively. Her improvement has further reinforced the belief of Samveda that children with Learning Disability can not follow the prescribed text books and need alternate texts until they develop an age appropriate reading speed.
