Success Story

The family of Mrs. Chinnaponnu was retrieved from a cave of interior forest at Tholukkadu area, Sirumalai Hills. The family of Mrs. Chinnaponnu was retrieved from a cave of interior forest at Tholukkadu area, Sirumalai Hills. Her family has 6 members-4 children & 2adults. The family was in extreme poverty & threatened by wild animal problems. Some tubers & hunting were their only food source. The children were totally illiterate. They were not coming in to population census and vote list and not having ration card, community certificate, tribe welfare board ID card and MFP card (Minor forest produces).

ROSI Foundation has provided solar lights, basic education to the children and cloth & educational materials. Further the family has been retrieved from the cave and is kept in our tribe relief and rehabilitation centre. A separate house is provided and they got house tax. 3 Honey bee boxes and 5 goats to each family have been provided. The children are studying in our education centre.

In this support of honey bee making and Goat rearing, they are collecting honey monthly once and getting milk from goat. They got ration card and has come in to population census and voting list after house tax. They are earning sufficient income from Honey bee making and goat rearing.
