Success Story

At the time of identification of Manisha as a visual impaired girl, she was 8 years old

At the time of identification of Manisha as a visual impaired girl, she was 8 years old. She is covered under the scheme of Integrated Education for the Disabled Children run by Andhjan Kalyan Trust. She was studying in primary school. Before admitted in the school, she was not able to give her name properly. She did not know how to groom herself. She had no training on how to carry out her daily routine

The special teacher of the Visually Impaired taught Manisha orientation and mobility, how to carry out her daily routine, Braille Reading and Writing. She was taught various indoor and outdoor games and also taught music
After carefully planned efforts and constant supervision of the organization and the Special Teacher, Manisha has progressed well during these last 7 years. Now she is studying in standard 10th at the Jetalsar High School and she can now read and write Braille with speed and fluency. She is now able to move independently and participates in various competitions both in and out of school
