Success Story

Tapas Mondal lost his mother and father at the age of 5 years. Tapas Mondal lost his mother and father at the age of 5 years. Tapas stayed with his grandmother & maternal uncle at village Jaitan, P.O. Pakuahat, Dist: Malda. Due to bad pecuniary condition his grandmother was unable to admit Tapas in a primary school. But Tapas had a desire to go to school.

One day, suddenly Tapas came to ERDS office at Thinagar with his friend to see the project activities. Tapas talked with our Social Workers and narrated his situation in his family. ERDS social workers noticed the situation and they helped Tapas enlisted as a student of ERDS Jhilmil School in January 2000. From 2000 ERDS has been assisted him with scholastic support. Now he is reading in Grade IX at Ananda Niketan Mahabir Uchchatara Vidyalaya, Pakuahat. Rations were given at our Project Centre located at Thinagar village.

Tapas goes to school every day. Since 2000 Tapas has been receiving all types of scholastic help from ERDS. Now he is reading in Class IX. He wants to be a Teacher in future.
