NULL Like any young adult, Krishna aged about 19 years from Deodurg dreamt of financial independence. Through sheer hard work and determination, he became an accomplished weight lifter in town. He used to participate actively in the activities of his self help group as well as the local Organisation of People With Disability (OPWD).

SAMUHA SAMARTHYA facilitated a Government loan through which Krishna purchased a tricycle. He was also helped to set up a petty shop in his village.

Krishna is now a milk seller in the mornings, a shop keeper in the afternoons and a gym coach in the evenings. Apart from this he is an active member of his SHG as well as OPWD. All this has not only meant financial independence for Krishna, but has also earned him respect in his community.
