These kids come from dysfunctional families and hence have nobody to teach them during these crutial years of life, the formative years when the foundation of one’s life is laid. These children usually end up getting ignored at home, while their mothers are busy doing other chores.

Chanda Dekate teaches the slum children with a lot of fun activities. motivates them to express themselves and good manners. These kids are groomed to get admission in schools for further education.

Chanda Dekate has been teaching for many years and teaches alphabetics, rhymes. This strengthens the basics of the slum kids & grooms them for admission in 1st Std in Schools.. They are motivated to participate in games and play with toys etc. A huge difference is seen in the children from the time they join the Balwadi. Their communication skills and social skills in particular gets greatly enhanced.
