Success Story

The trend normally observed in the rural villages was that men & women were engaged in daily labor The trend normally observed in the rural villages was that men & women were engaged in daily labor, which normally earns a meager income at the end of the day, which was not sufficient for the family expenses and education of the children. Even the labor is not regular to the families and during those times, they have face problems.

Andhra Mahila is a SHG of ten members. They attended the training facilitated by us. They were taught about group management. They were all interested in embroidery and this was selected as their income generation activity. Now the ten members has become a unit & different roles were assigned, like some go for marketing, some for raw materials, some for the delivery.

Women have started their own ventures either through group activity or individual activity and are now independent and in a position to support family, irrespective of seasons. Enhancement in the family income, regular repayments and extension of the activity through add on products or services is done.
