Success Story

Mahesh is a 14 yr old boy from Mysore.

Mahesh is a 14 yr old boy from Mysore. His father is Venkatesh & is a mason & mother is Shobha . He stole money from home and ran away. He started living in the streets and gradualy got addicted to solution (erazer liquid), sex, smoking. He stayed away from home for one month. Police rescued him and placed him in Govt. Home. Sathi staff contacted him at Govt. Home and selected him for camp.

Initially, Mahesh used to verbally abuse the camp teacher, demanded substances, attempted to escape & disrupted camp activities. With lots of patience & constant interaction we bonded with the child. Meditation & yoga desciplined him. With the help of moral stories & plays he realized the importance of family, education & differentiate between good & bad. He was home placed on 3/3/10.
We did follow up on 24/3/10 and his father informed that the child has shown changes in his behaviour and has abstained from all sort of addiction. There was visible changes in his behaviour. He is more obedient and they are happy. Mahesh will be attending school from the next session.
