Five year old Anu came to Sri Arunodayam on 06.07.2009. Five year old Anu came to Sri Arunodayam on 06.07.2009. She was born to an unwed mother, who handed over Anu to a charitable trust. The Department of Social Welfare sent Anu to Sri Arunodayam. Anu endures mild intellectual disability and needs guidance to conduct her activities of daily life.

We ensure that children wear neat dresses and are groomed well. All the children are treated equally. We do accept clothes from our donors. However, we prefer to buy new, good and well fitting clothes for our children. For we believe that our children should experience the joys of childhood as any other child living with their families would enjoy

Anu loves to dress up well. She chooses what she will wear. She insists on changing her dresses morning and evening. Anu loves to do herself up with talcum powder, bindhi and hair clips. She loves to be well groomed and she encourages other children to dress up well. Isn’t it heartening to see a special child dress up so well.
