Dhanmanti Devi, aged 26 years has a family consisting of 7 members. Dhanmanti Devi, aged 26 years wife of Mr.Satyadev Thakur, Village Gangapur, Hulasganj, Jehanabad has a family consisting of 7 members. They are very poor and depend on daily wages. They were leading a very tough life, not able to satisfy their minimum needs, send their wards to school or provide proper clothing and nutritious food

Jan Samadhan contacted this family and advised them to start growing vegetables or Crops in 2008 year end. Dhanmanti opted to grow onion. She was supported financially to enable them to grow a (Approximately 8-9 quintals) lot of onion in 10 Kathas of Land taken on rent. Each season is 4 months. She grew potato and maize in the next 2 seasons.

Her family has grown onion which costs Rs. 8000 which enables them to send their children to school. Their income has been raised. They have started providing their children proper clothing, foods etc. Also they are saving certain amounts for their future use. This has changed their life style. Her investment was Rs.2000. She has earned Rs.6000 in 4 months.
