Success Story

One remote Primary Health Centre (PHC) at Paschimbad village in Jaleswar Block of Balasore district was defunct One remote Primary Health Centre (PHC) at Paschimbad village in Jaleswar Block of Balasore district was defunct and no patients were coming. ARM got it from Govt. of Orissa under NRHM for effective management. Patients were poor and could not afford to buy the medicine .Therefore they were not coming to the PHC due to lack of free medicine support .They were taking the help of quacks outside.

ARM took a step to start the PHC by appointing a Doctor and medical staff. The service was provided round the clock and medicines to the minimum amount possible .By this approach the poor patients could be able to get a part of their prescription.

By getting this the patients believed on the prescription of the Doctor and visited the PHC regularly. They could be able to come in more number and purchase the medicines from outside in case of difficulties at the PHC.
