Success Story

Mantasa Khatoon is 19 years old girl. Mantasa Khatoon is 19 years old girl. She is deaf and dumb. Her father is a laborer with 8 other children. She is from Kala Bandar tola village Farrabari. She wanted to support her family.

Mantasa joined AIF run stitching centre as she wanted to learn some skill. She also started attending functional literacy classes as she realized that it is important to have some basic knowledge. She learned to stitch blouse, salwar kurta, frocks, petticoat etc.

After completing 6 months of training in stitching and tailoring, she bought second hand sewing machine. Now she earns around Rs 200 per month stitching clothes in the village. Mantasa bought the machine from her own resources as AIF does not have resources to give on its own. We seek donations so that we can help needy girls like her after they complete their course.
