Success Story

Mrs.Ratnamma is 70 years old. Mrs.Ratnamma is 70 years old. She is impaired visually due to her old age. She belongs to Tatipaka a rural village at E.G.Dist. When she was young she was an active Devadasi.with her earnings she reared her 2 daughters and a son. She married her daughters and son. She lost her son in an accident and her daughters took the path of her mother. The HIV/Aids created an apprehension among the public the earnings of their daughters were not sufficient to feed their families. So they used to neglect their mother. Now the plight of Mrs.Ratnamma is very tragic and she is leading a miserable life.

JKWS is working in this village for the last 5 years and identified the family. The counselor of JKWS counseled the daughters of Mrs.Ratnamma. She were referred to the near by PHC and on the prescription of the doctor medicines were provided to her. A pair of clothes and nutritious food was provided to her. Now she was happy.

Mrs.Ratnamma is now a happy women. She is confident because she could able to get an external support from a neighbourhood NGO JKWS. Due to counselling her daughters were also looking after her.She is all thankfull to the donors who came in to her rescue.
