Ray of hope for Nagarajan
Eye-related problems had not only affected the academic performance of ten-year old Nagarajan but also his extracurricular activities.
Nagarajan happened to attend one of the camps conducted by Sankara Nethralaya at Chidambaram. Following a through eye examination and teleconsultation with an ophthalmologist at Sankara Nethralaya, he was advised to undergo a vitreo retinal surgery. Nagarajan was brought to the main hospital where a free-of-cost vitreo retinal surgery was performed on him
His vision has shown remarkable improvement. He now actively takes part in all school activities. His academic performance has also improved.
