Success Story

Sirisha Sadurla is a 11 years old girl. Sirisha Sadurla is a 11 years old girl. She is staying with her mother Rajamani and brother Vijay kumar in a single rented room at Golnaka, one of the thickly populated slum area in Hyderabad. She does not have any sweet memories about her father as he died when she was a small girl Her mother is an uneducated, working as a maid servant in three houses at Amberpet area and getting a meagre income. But she has a dream that shirisha should go to school and study well so that she should not become like her in the future. So her mother sent her to a good school at the same locality with a high fee. As her income was not sufficient to pay the fee, she started taking Sirisha along with her to domestic work at the age of 7 years itself.

Sahara staff noticed this. We asked her relatives to bring the girl to Sahara head office. Sirisha came with her mother and we have given a valuable counseling to her mother and motivated her mother to send this young girl to the school. We suggested her to send this girl for any English medium Govt High School We have given all kind of support(except text books) to her continuing the education . Now she is studying in 4th grade at government high school. With the help of Give India, she is continuing her education

Sirisha is now going to school regularly with out any interupption. She does well in studies and her mother also feels happy that her daughter is wearing a neat and tidy uniform. Her mother has a hope that sirisha will be successful in her studies and fetch a good job. They are very happy for the support and her mother conveyed her thanks to Give India, Sahara and its donors.
