Yogita Gavit, who is in 7th grade from tribal residential School Dehere, District Thane Yogita Gavit, who is in 7th grade from tribal residential School Dehere, District Thane was a very shy girl and came from a family which didn t ever save.

She was encouraged to join the Aflatoun club and became an active member of it. She participated in the anti-tobacco campaign that they had in their village. The Aflatoun club also started a bank so she could start saving money in small amounts in the school.

She has saved Rs. 80 in the bank and is learning how to save money in the Aflatoun bank. These savings are used to buy notebooks and pencils as and when required for school. She has also gained confidence and was able to talk to people during the rally about the ill-effects of gutkha consumption.
