Success Story

Fareed Saiyed - a man of many seasons, is resident of Al-Rehmani Society, Tagore Hall, Kocharab, Paldi, Ahmedabad Fareed Saiyed - a man of many seasons, resident of Al-Rehmani Society, Tagore Hall, Kocharab, Paldi, Ahmedabad - had been deeply disturbed about several unhealthy practices in the Muslim society. He was particularly concerned about signs of fundamentalism, casteism, lack of hygiene, too much dependence upon the state etc. He wanted the leadership to address these issues but found little favour with the political class. His only hope lay with the social sector.

SPRAT, too, had been seized with these issues, amongst others. Through posters, speeches, pamphlets it had been sensitizing people of all faiths to the dire need for social reform. It Publications Division, JAREEDA, started producing Parcha on a regular basis. One fell into his hand. And he contacted SPRAT.

Saiyed says that such a thing was long in coming. He enthusiastically welcomed it. Now not only is he an avid reader himself but actively distributes the issues all around.
