It is very essential for the younger generation to know about the lives of great leaders of our country It is very essential for the younger generation to know about the lives of great leaders of our country which will be a source of inspiration for them to serve the society.In fact Sevalaya itself is the manifestation of the inspiration derived from the lives of 3 great personalities Mahatma Gandhi, Mahakavi Bharathiyar and Swami Vivekananda. Ramanujam is a mathematical genius of Tamilnadu. His lifeand works is a source of inspiration for the students to develop interest in Mathematics.

In this competitive world, students mostly do not get an opportunity to learn and know anything other than their academics. Even academic studies have become merely text book oriented without any effort to create interest in the subjects they learn. And as for value Education, it does not find any place in the education system. As a very small step to change the scenario, Sevalaya conducts State Level Open Book Examinations on the lives of our inspirers - Mahatma Gandhi, Mahakavi Bharathiyar and Swami Vivekananda and a Math Talent Test in memory of Mathematics Genius from Tamilnadu, Srinivasa Ramanujam. The main aim of this programme is to provide an opportunity to the students know about these personalities.

By conducting these programmes Sevalaya is actually doing the job of sowing the seeds. The results may not be seen immediately but we are providing a very conducive environ for socially conscious and creative youngsters to emerge.
