Success Story

Basanti, aged 7 years, daughter of Jaglal Paswan of village Rampur, Sampatchak, Patna is residing with her partents. Basanti, aged 7 years, daughter of Jaglal Paswan of village Rampur, Sampatchak, Patna is residing with her partents. Her parents are socio -economically very backward and belong to Scheduled caste community. They work in agricultural field for their sustenance. But they are not able to earn enough to meet even bare minimum need of their family members. Basanti is admitted in Primary school, Sampatchak, Patna and was not able to continue her studies due to poverty. Her parents are so poor to pay fee, arrange uniform and books for their ward. Basanti was compelled to discontinue her education.

The above situation is applicable to almost all the Dalit community of the Sampat Chak Block of Patna district. The organization took education of the Dalit as a challenge and started supporting them for their study through its meager resources or to mobilizing the funds locally. Basanti was helped to continue her education.

Now, Basanti is attending school regularly and so is the case of other Dalit children. She is presently studying in Grade 3 in the primary School, Sampatchak, Patna. Our efforts are encouraging and ensuring continuation of school education. Our efforts have been very fruitful. Other children of this village are following Basanti in expectation that they will also be helped. This is attracting others towards education and minimizing drop outs and ensuring education to all.
