Tushar Kailash Gaikwad is a 12 year old boy from a scheduled tribe whose parents are involved in goat rearing. Tushar Kailash Gaikwad is a 12 year old boy from a scheduled tribe whose parents are involved in goat rearing. He never stepped into a school. He was a timid boy. When he became 6 year old his parents sent him to a nearby rural hotel to wash plates through which they got some money and left over food every day. He was so dirty and unhappy. He hardly had a bath every day.

Tushar was brought to the education centre as he was unwilling to go to the hotel to work. Here he was taught to be clean. He was taught to take bath and brush his teeth. Besides, he was taught to read and write Marathi. As he was interested in learning, the instructor met his parents and counseled them to send to the education centre regularly.

After attending education centre Tushar has changed a lot in his, aptitude and behavior. Tushar has learnt to read and write Marathi. He has started brushing his teeth daily and taking bath every morning before coming to school. He has a great determination to continue his education in a regular school. Now his parents are convinced to send him to regular school. Next year Tushar will be joining in the regular school in Grade 8
