Success Story

Ms. Gousalya age 11 years, lives in village Perunangupatti, Pudukkottai district Tamilnadu. She is a HIV positive and studies in Grade 6. Her father Anandapandidurai, died of AIDS and her mother too is HIV positive. They are extremely poor and her mother struggled to support the education of her child and was considering taking her out of school.

ROSI FOUNDATION learnt of their situation and immediately counseled her mother on the importance educating Gousalya. We gave her the required educational materials, uniform, bag, soap, dress, nutrias/tablet, oil, detergent, slippers, etc. The child was trained on sanitation and hygiene.

Gousalya is now attending school regularly. She is in Grade 6 in PUMS (Panchayat Union Middle School), Perunankupatti village. She maintains cleanliness and is a happy child.
