S.Velu has been coming to Tanker Foundation for subsidised dialysis since the last two years. S.Velu has been coming to Tanker Foundation for subsidised dialysis since the last two years. He is a 33-year-old unmarried man with a large family. Velu works as a Telephone Operator.

Velu with the help of friends and well-wishers has now been able to collect the awesome amount needed for a Kidney Transplant . Velu was required to undergo a Selective Renal Angiogram essential before the transplant,costing Rs.6,500 . It is extremely difficult for a patient to shell out such a large amount when he is accumulating money for the actual transplant costs. Tanker funded this test.
